  • You don't need thermodynamics to see that this won't work... just basic math.

    The mass on the arm will displace an equal mass of water then the whole thing will stop moving.

  • @morristechau These laws are being ignored en masse right now... get with it. I think they have been repealed. Oh, and I think physics is thinking about repealing gravity, as well.

  • 1- Conservation of energy

    The device's energy output is more then its energy input, unless you count gravity as the input, as you stated

    2- Entropy or "quality" of energy.

    It will require at least the same amount of energy to return the weights to their starting positions after each cycle, as was produced by their falling at the start of the cycle.

    If you can break the 2nd law, that would be awesome, but to me this machine is a "PMM2" or perpetual motion machine of the second kind.
