A 10" Paiste RUDE Splash paired up with a 10" Paiste 602 Heavy Bell, makes a nice, crisp and interesting hi-hat sound. Combined with an 18"Maxwin/Pearl bass drum (with Ludwig Pearl and Tama fittings and two Gretsch wooden hoops - my "mongrel" hybrid) and a recently purchased 12" Tama Nickelworks snare, this is one little combo that's great for doing funk, drum n' bass, or any articulate, syncopated style. Cheers, and thanks for watching, folks!

  • Ive only been playing drums for about 2 years now, but ive played guitar in bands for over 17 years and have heard an awefull lot of cymbals and drums. I have the say being a rock/metal guy mostly...that the Paiste RUDE's seem to have a combination of quality of sound, complex wash, and durability that no other cybals in that price range can compete with. If i could afford them Ide outfit my kit with em. Want a 19 and 17 set of crashes or crash/rides. :) and a big 22 ride with a nice fat bell

  • @VanXHydrA Yeah, ages ago I used to have a couple of Paiste RUDE crash/rides - the old RUDES with white writing on them (Paiste also released them later with red as well as green stencilling). The crash/rides were a 16" & 18"....I was using them with a Sabian HH hi-hat, UFIP splashes and an old Paiste 2002 Medium, which I still own now. Unfortunately (for my cymbals) at that time I was a hard hitter, and was cracking the RUDES back then! Nowadays at least my technique's somewhat refined a bit.

  • Wow!! I love Paiste!!!! everything they make sounds excellent no matter what it is!

  • @VanXHydrA They sure do. The also have the best range of percussion sounds, stuff like cup chimes, bell plates, roto-sound disc, accent cymbals, gongs, you name it!

  • Thanks Olimpass!
