I think that some would lable you a "rivethead". The dark post apocalyptic atmosphere is fundamental to industrial music.

I do agree with you that people should utilize their own creativity. However the other people are correct when they said that the goths are a germanic tribe. The interesting thing is that their main god is Woden who is the god of poetry, magic, and death. How much more goth can you get? w00t! Have a good mate and I wish you the best of luck!

Now, we're clearly not going to agree here. This argument is rather pointless. How bout you believe in your goth, and I'll stick to mine. I've lost interest in your argument because you just say the same thing over and over and I get it okay, you're absolutely obsessed with the music idea. on one note, i'd like the stress that the guy in this video is trying so hard to beat around the bush, its funny. its almost like "i don't want to be called stupid by my other friends, who... all happen to be interested in the same shit, which all happens to be 'gothicly influenced' , so i'm going to say labels are for highschoolers so i can feel secure"

the music, styles, clubs, diversity, etc is all classified as 'goth' because guess what? it evolved since the batcave! its still part

@GeneralHoohah other than the fact that most true goths have the humor to sarcasticly stereotype themselves for self entertainment and really don't care about what others have to say about it. i personally don't give a shit about labels or how some highschool wannabe's decide to give themselves a name, or more accuratly, the people OUTSIDE of the subculture labeling the wrong people the wrong thing. its not a 'label' , and its not an architecture. its a fucking 25 year old lifestyle

GeneralHoohah:goth and posers basically have nothing to do with eachother.people a lot of times don't understand what goth is. belonging to a group of people that spend too much money on hottopic has nothing to do what goth is about.its not hard to spot a poser-they often say "i'm so gothic i'm so dark" "I LOVE EDWARD FROM TWILIGHT!" or "i love Marilyn Manson and Cradle of filth!"you will also notice that they wear too much makeup. now THATS a(pre)teen gothic phase.

I'll tell you what goth is.

Goth is temporary stage that many twats go through when they feel misunderstood and try to seek out a group to fit in with. This clique is run by elitest dicks who are controlled by muisc and fashion companies, and tell people they're not goth unless they do so and so.

Goth is what true goths are ashamed to be called. They'd rather not be called a goth because they don't want to be mistaken for any of the idiots ruining the subculture.
