@md7christian okay...let me stop you right there. i can tell you that this animal is no more than a foot a across and less than 2 in height. stay with me here..
1.the original video clearly shows the tree its perched on, yes? they are conifers
2.at another point it shows a man standing next to a tree with his hand placed on it. it is about the same width as his hand across. i cant imagine that the 2 trees are much different in size
now im no genius but i can tell it aint that huge

@myf0lk 1) I can, with a very high amount of certainty with discursive reasoning and spatial Intelligence; tell you this animal is appox. 24” across it’s back- in it’s seated position it uses 2/3rd of it total height and that is approx. 34” while seated- which would make it approx. 45”-55” tall when standing.
2) A warm blooded mammal with those dimensions would have to weigh approx. 150-250# depending on health- this one looks pretty healthy.

@myf0lk 3) Porcupine (rodent) is the third largest of the rodent family they on average get 2-3ft long, maybe 8-10” across the back and weigh like 30-40lbs – basically like a small dog.
4) The branch that’s broken is approx. 6.5’ out on the same branch it’s sitting on – the break is fresh – possibly the same day. (Note* primates transverse through trees –not all, but certainly the Homininae cladogram can move from branch to branch.)

@crusherfan53 hate to break it to you mr hunter but there are many kinds of porcupine. varying from tiny ones crossing the road, which people all know and love, to the hefty ones that can fight off lions and bears.

@jaygorny it actually seems pretty average sized. you have to look at it in the right perspective. in the original video you can see that the tree its in is a very slim and flimsy, but once zoomed in it -looks- like it could be an ancient oak tree
Hate to burst ya bubble, but that's no porcupine. Whatever it is, it is 30 feet up in a tree with wet fir, those are not quills, I would estimate its weight at about 150 lbs.The photographer was 50 yards away , Baby Bigfoot, Maybe?
