Sounds pretty good, but dont do anything to modify the motor. The 496 is a cheap POS with all cast internal parts. Do a GOOGLE search for "MotorsbyShooter" and holler if you need any help.

Man, I grew up on lakes. As much as I like that sound, it is just annoying while I'm relaxing. Is there really that much to be gained?

God damn i miss summer....only have a bass boat with a 150 on it but love the sound of the speed boats and others like this one.

Its tan and sea rays off white. I like it because it looks good and stays really clean.

i had a couple of differnt big, loud, high powered ski boats in the late 90's and early 2000's .It was great fun to have but everytime i pulled up at the pump i would just cringe and that was when gas was $1.35 and less i can only imagime operateing one now with gas at $4 and higher.

Not really a gain just the love for the sound. If i ever get annoyed by it, which is usually my wife i flip it off so its back to stock and quiet, since it Captains Call.
