If you truly believe in something, then it "is" true to you. And though I'm not very superstitious, I don't think its necessarily a bad thing to have some faith, if it convinces you to be better, or encourages you be happier. ;)

Rule of thumb - be vary careful of people who claim to do things that we all want to be able to do, i.e. predict the future, move things with their mind, talk to dead people, astrally project, ect ect ect.
Ask yourself the key question: If this really works then why has it never been scientifically proved.
Also the statements about your daughter are known as "barnum statements", general enough to apply to everyone but sounding vaguely specific to you when you hear them.

we all have the ability to be psychic. some more than other normally. but we are all networked via the universe somehow and...yeah. i don't so much believe in psychic fortune telling, but i'm not doubting that seeing the future is impossible. in fact, i have wicked deja vuu fairly often and i know it's stuff i've seen when i was dreaming.
