Gorgeous lyrical in the best bel canto tradition! Great idea to sing outside. As to the comment anout the piano, bull! It sounded fine considering it was being played outdoors! A voice like this comes once a generation; in the 40; we had Bjoerling, in the 50's we had Corelli, in the 60's Gedda, the 70's and 80's Pavarotti. Florez will carry that torch just fine, thank you!

@movieluvr69 why compare? this man has gift. we should all be grateful we are able to witness his art. singers like this happen once in a lifetime. i thank god he is singing during my lifetime.

the best!

JDF is incredible, but if you like this aria, check out Ramon Centeno's rendition, not with great audio quality, but one can still appreciate his great talent.

Eh, c'mon, don't be cruel. Comparisons with Corelli are not fair or either allowed.:-)

just so gorgeous

Good piano or not, Florez is always so professional, not speaking about his beautiful singing. Always trying to give his best, even if the audience would not really care or appreciate. I love his style.
why does everyone focus on complaining. apparently a good majority of the people who listen to this video think JDF is a good singer. Why worry with comparing him or pointing out flaws that other amazing and older tenors accomplish? just sit back and enjoy the beautiful music while you can. time passes by so quikly why are we worrying with these trivial scruples? just enjoy!

bravo Juan Diego. The rest of you, I mean the most recent posts, can't recognize a beautiful, natural voice when you hear it. Corelli was great, and there will never be another, nor should there be. What's lost, has been lost forever. Juan Diego Florez is the best, most consistent commercial tenor on the operatic market today. Don't be haters, and live the present. Stop comparing. What use is it?
