  • this is a grass hopper, I seen these around my school in florida, when they get bigger they look much weirder but there totally normal and common around where I live

  • Thanks for the info - I had never seen anything like it, and not being an expert on those insect orders I just applied my layman's observation to it :-) If you happen across a positive species ID, do let me know!

  • its a hybrid like man-bear-pig called grasshopper-spider-shrimp

  • I've never head of a grasshopper that was vemomous before! Definitely get some video of it and post - I'd like to see it, and a good visual might help someone ID it too... 8-)
