  • What does Fidel drive? I'm guessing a Nash Metropolitan. They're so quaint and minimalist.

  • I wish we could have taken as much care of the american iron. There are still hundreds of these beautiful cars taken to the scrap!

  • Please do not get me wrong, I do not think that Batista's government was any better. But you threw a whole nation away. One man came along and everyone jumped on his bandwagon in hopes of a quick overthrow of Batista and look at who he turned up to be. I'm not saying Batista is better, but I just don't agree when people glorify Fidel for something he didn't do: Save Cuba.

  • I personally am skinny...maybe I was hating on Mcd's, I do eat an occasional burger at Burger King or Wendy's. People can't control their eating habits, I agree. Since most cubans are hard workers, I doubt they would become fat anyways...they would burn off the calories. I have to disagree and say that the Bautista government before Fidel came to power was one of the worst. They only cared to enrich themselves and feed off the US mafia to keep themselves in power until Fidel cam along.

  • I don't see how a McDonalds "fattens" anybody up. If folks gain weight and they are eating Micky D's its their hand to mouth problem, not Micky D's fault...Gosh I hate it when people prefer the trade off of Cuba's socialist charm and what it could have been like...

  • I also wonder how many of these cars

    were taken by the corrupt

rich a-holes that fled the island. They

must have left some of their fancy cars

behind, as they fled to Floriday, to be collected by the masses or

    their butlers and maids. :)

  • What's ironic about these videos about Cuba

is that, if Fidel had not taken power, a lot

of this charm on the island might have been turned into new casinos and McD restaurants all over the island fattening people up. Of course a majority of

these cars would also have been crushed in favor

of newer American cars and imports if they

had turned to a truly capitalist market system.

  • A lot of interesting old cars there!

(Some sound on the audio track might make the video a bit more interesting ).
