On Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), TV's Dr. Oz, and others from across the country discussed regional efforts to improve the quality of health care during a special live webcast. Attendees heard live via satellite from physicians, nurses, employers and patients who have been working to improve care in their communities.
The effort was part of Care About Your Care, a month-long effort throughout September to increase awareness about what consumers can do to identify and receive better care. Convened by RWJF with nearly two dozen partners, the initiative hopes to galvanize attention about the state of health care quality and spark conversation about the steps Americans can take to improve their care.
The panel of speakers included Moderator Dr. Oz, M.D., Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, President and CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Farzad Mostashari, the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology and Carolyn M. Clancy, Quality Director for the Agency for Health Care Research.
This is part 3 of a 3 part series of videos.
