Masssive Vaccination Campaign Launched in Eastern Congo

MSF launched a massive measles-vaccination campaign in the Tanganyika region in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. The epidemic has spread throughout this vast region which covers more than 150,000 square kilometers and where the majority of the population do not have access to treatment. The plan is to vaccinate all children between 6 months and 15 years of age; reaching them is a major challenge. The campaign began in July. More than 270,000 children have been vaccinated.
