Anyone else think that the "shigoto-nin" method was a reference to the old Japanese TV series "Hisatsu Shigoto Nin"?

One thing I've recognized that is similar to English culture, is that Japanese food is super simple; there are hardly any spices to compliment flavor; Though, English food is more of a compilation/mix of things into one big plate, whereas Japanese food is divided for simple use with chopsticks.
