needs so much help with music.I watched once without music, and the visuals were more enticing thay way, or at least I wasn't so pulled away from the visuals by the music. Shouldn't visuals come first in a movie? Why is the title "Queen of the River?" Is it because she drew the water in the flask? About 2:30 min of the young man being angry in a number of circumstances would have saved this movie. The audience is not ticked at his behavior, so they don't care if he is transformed.
Thte opening scene looks more recent, though it is an old dam. Thte orange bouys can't be too old, not as old as the costumes seems to reflect (19th century). I wonder why the young man lets the guy in suspenders anoint him, becoming docile all of a sudden. I am no movie critic, and the other 400 viewers probably are not either. I would advise the producers to take a clue from Alfred Hitchcock, who was keenly aware of what the audience was thinking and expecting. I don't think the movie
Despite the beauty and care in the making of this movie, the audience is left with very little story line. Only on film does a baby grow into his upper 20s in a few seconds. Why is the young man angry? We don't know what made him that way. Why should the water be transforming? We didn't see it transform anything. It appears to be the same water that he was abandoned in, and from it he started this angry life? Why is the young man anointed twice with the water? Didn't it work the first time?
