IPSISSIMUS was a four-piece band from Barnet in North London. Their version of "Hold On", which had previously been recorded by Sharon Tandy -1967- (assisted by The Fleur de Lys)

  • this group came from Barking essex not barnet. all went to Eastbury sec, mod.Lenny Deathridge played lead guitar Reg Kind (drums) Chris Evens (Guitar) deceased. and Steve Oliver (base) who went on to play with the Kursal Flyers.

  • Love this as well as the Sharon Tandy version. My older brother played in a band in the 70's and this was part of their act. Another rarity that they educated their audiences with was Tangerine Peel's 'Play Me A Sad Song And I'll Dance' which I would love to hear again too. Any chance of uploading Hold On's 'B'side? I think it was called 'Lazy Woman' ...
