@therailwizard1994 Well tell your dad unless he's a Jap he doesn't really have a place in what's racist to the Japanese or not. My ex-wife was a Jap and I asked her if she thought it was mean or racist and she said no. It doesn't mean anything to them, it's a term of endearment rather, and they're pretty damn proud to be Japs. Maybe too much. If you think American pride is out of control go live over there for a few years. They're pretty damn racist to gaijin.

The cartoon is 70 years old. We were at war. There was plenty of anti-Western propaganda produced in Japan as well at the time. If you are actually offended by a cartoon produced when your grandfather was a kid - you really need to get a grip.

This is America at its best! Its so funny! And I don't mean to be offensive if I am to anyone, but you have to understand. The past is the past. We all should look at this cartoon and laugh at it. I don't think its racist because this was made during the war and during that time everyone hated each other (Except if they were allied). I even have a Japanese friend and he thinks this is hilarious! Get over it being racist, this was made 75 years ago.
