Black templars are allowed to be cheesy the codex isnt the best they need a new one. I think ill go out and buy by dreadnought an early christmas present.

but say if you had 10 drop pods then 5 are coming in on the first turn and with they other five can come in and back up they others and hit em where it hurts

@Kravockian The FAQ did twiddle with a couple of things about the Drop Pods, but it did not give us the newer rules. Still, this works quite well, even having your entire army in Drop Pods.

@TwistedLogic84 the black templar FaQ was updated to fit the new SM codex I believe, I could be wrong though.

Just adding to what he said, take dreads in pods very effective, and don't equip dreads with lascannon misssile launcher in a pod if your going to do this take close combat oriented dread, also put your 2 troops choices, ( thats all you need for templars we are badarses have faith in your crusaders ) in drop pods and have a whole army deepstrioking except for a landraider with close combat termi squad with a chappy, then get your opponent to take that off the board! just my addiiotn
good vid

They do not come in automatically turn 2 you still have to roll for them following the normal reserve rules so turn 2 you would need a 5 or highr on a D6. There is knowhere in the BT codex which specifically states that they dont come in turn 1 but the rules for our drop pods are on page 22 of the BT codex. In the normal space marine codex the drop pod page has a special rule called "drop pod assault" which is different to our drop pod rules this is the rule that make there pods come in turn 1.
