Shooting an AR15 using the scope cam; targets setup at approximately 410 yards. The camcorder is securely mounted to the stock of the rifle, just behind the charging handle. Shooting with this setup is quite a challenge, as I have to use the camcorder viewfinder for aiming. The viewfinder screen is roughly the size of 4 small postage stamps, and provides nowhere near the quality resolution that you experience with a decent scope. I'm so close to the viewfinder, I'm not even wearing my glasses.

Rifle for the session is a Bushmaster Varminter in .223, topped off with a Leupold Mark III scope. The Remington 55 grain AccuTip is the load of choice.

  • Guess this guy doesn’t know the marksmanship principles.

His shots were lucky, I could see from the first red target he dropped he should aim low with the cross-hairs at the bottom of the target.

He would have done better with his AR on full auto lol

  • It seems like you had to aim lower for reds n the milk jug, but the blue was just right in the middle

  • @nobeltnium My guess is he's pulling when he squeezes the trigger. You'll see he is centered and then it moves right before it fires. That's usually a good sign of pulling.

  • i see you aim a little bit to the right.and not this 1 only,i saw that on oher videos of yours too.You take too many shots to hit that water bottle. Is that because of wind or bullet drop?

  • how about bring it one click down?...

  • Direct fire with no camera through a good scope a good shooter can do with no problem. But aiming through a scope with a camcorder lol. Now that changes things a bit. Nice video. Would be fun. I did the iron sight 500 to 800 meter military training prior to Iraq and Afghan. To be honest, it sucked lol. With a high power scope, it wouldve been fun.

  • one question ¿one bullet of 22 can use to ar15?

  • Not to be ignorant but it looks like you are jerking your trigger too quickly. You might want to slowly pull the trigger once you can control your breath and get an accurate sighting. just saying.

  • Talented.
