@EstorilEm I wasn't having a go at the sailors themselves just the way America cup is so made for the rich and the better boat builder. And yes I know of same of those sailors that worked hard to be there but as I said go to a standard cat like the 40s sail on boats that most of us would do not on samething only billions dollars can spend on

@thecragenator1 you're right, it must have been 16 decades of sheer luck... we suck at sailing. PS I doubt anyone (from any country) who makes the cut into an AC team would be intimidated by your extreme 40 cats - who cares if it was light air for this race, you better believe anyone who makes it to these teams has been to hell and back in all conditions - have some more respect. The Swedes (winning 03 and again defending in 07) and USA certainly get my respect - both in hull design and skill.

boats were way to big for match racing. 70 or 60 feet is right size. also, no wind!! where was the wind? also, you got to have one design multihulls to get any enjoyment out of match racing.

RED FLAG from Alinghi. It is speculated because they were upset the mutuny on board the RC boat did not work.
I CANT WAIT for PRO Bennetts report to go through to ISAF, let the world damn Alinghi and all they stood for.

how dull and boaring and passionless - I am sure the people watching it from the quayside are now at the winter olympics shouting and hooping at the skiers. Then I suppose they will be preparing for the football world cup. Another great sporting event destroyed by money. Yawn Plastic boats and plastic people with plastic lives OHHH ..Yeah...GO GO GO Go Go !
