that is cuz the fucking refs gave the fucking title to unc...calling everything on Augustine and fucking let sean may get away with everything....If the refs actually called fouls on May that would b 14 less points for unc and illinois would have won....A announcer for said illinois should have won the game if it wasnt for the refs....so unc be happpy with a title that u got handed to u....u didnt earn it....True champs of 05......Illinois

UNC had already lost to Nova, but the NCAA and CBS make more money off merchandise, and viewrship if UNC wins, so naturally everyone involved wanted UNC to win except for Illinois fans and Duke fans

@will5430 Hey, I love the Illini, but if they could have made a clutch bucket down the stretch they could have won the national championship. Watch the tape of the game. They had a lot of chances but could put nothing down when it counted the most.

Well when you can hit the three...why not rely on it. That was one of the best college teams of all time. had theynot lost the championship...they'd own the second best record in a season...the lost to NC cause they we calling BS calls on augustine while may traveled and fouled the whole game. Matter fact, NC's previous two wins we all a result of questionable end of game calls. They should never had even made the final 4. Research and you'll agree.

guys stop fighting, its the fucking internet....i love UofI and i have all my life, i watched just about every game that season, gocards is right, we shot like 20 3's a game so dont get pissed at him.

but anyways...May shoulda fouled out in the first 10 minutes, and if the refs had actually called a foul on him, we could have one it. O well, we lost, the team will be good again sometime, if our recruits will stop breaking their commitments.

I want to strangle anyone who even breathes the word North Carolina. They did not deserve the champsionship that year. The refs = horrible. Sean may had about 10 charges and about 10 more fouls of any other kind. Sean May is far from the best. The illini were the best. Too bad the refs spoiled that. But don't you notice just how bad reffing is comming to be recently. It seems as if any close game, you can say your team lost just because of the refs. And most of the time...that's true.
