Setting up the Astro A40 Mixamp to a PS3

Setting up an Astro A40 Mixamp to work with a PS3 using the best possible audio setup. The setup is roughly the same on the Xbox 360, except you wont need to set up the voice cables, you can use the mixamp-to-controller cable.

Hey, man, do you have any idea if the mixamp has to be right next to the PS3 with the included accessories? Because I'd like to have it right next to me when I game, not having to get up every time I want to adjust something.

If it does, what cables would I need extended?

Do the headphones come with all the cords needed to set it up??? And do you need these to be plugged in to use the headset and mic??

I have a problem.. I have plugged in all the cables following your instructions but when I go under "Settings" "Accesory Settings", "Audio Device Settings" I can't seem to find any "ASTRO Gaming USB MixAmp" ...

And there's no sound coming out from the mic. Please help me..

*HELP* HEY MY HEADSET ISNT SHOWING UP ON THE MIKE LIST WHEN I CONNECT IT. I CAN HEAR THROUGH THE MIKE BUT CANT SYNC OR SPEAK THROUGH THE MIKE. I DONT HAVE THE 2 SPLIT CABLES IN THE FRONT. IDK WHAT TO DO
