I threw in a louder exhaust note so it wouldn't be so overpowered by the supercharger whine. If you've played this mod already, you'll probably notice the physics differences right off the bat. So far I've changed the tires and suspension to give it a more realistic, softer feel, which gives it much better on-the-limit handling, sort of like the Legend cars, but not so loose.
I also threw in a completely stock engine, with 440'ish HP to the wheels (factored in the drivetrain loss). The result is a much more realistic Mustang that not only sounds the part, but now feels it too.
The suspension still needs a lot of work, as it's nowhere near as adjustable as I'd like it to be, but so far this is really starting to come together. I really wish the interior wasn't so stripped out. I'm hoping that when RMi releases their version of this mod, they'll have a correct interior to go with it.
About the sounds, I'm very close to deciding to release them as a stand-alone sound kit for developers.
That's pretty much it for now. I'll post more as this project develops.
And I'm also wondering why I'm talking about this on my GT500 video... man I'm getting old.

Three years later, and I'm wondering if the FIA 350z was actually fitted with a V8. The new FIA Nissan GTR is...

Awesome job on this one m8, absolutely amazing what sound does to the immersion here.

Thanks man.
I personally believe that the sounds are just as important as the physics and all the other things that add to the realism. If a car doesn't sound right, it just really turns me off completely and ruins the entire experience. I literally couldn't drive the 350Z at all when I first got GTR2. When I loaded up the Z for the first time I was like "WHAAAAAAA?". Seriously, what was simbin thinking when they released V8 sounds for the 350z. Makes you wonder.
