@vajraman108 So I think,Dzungars were more "tibetianized" Geluks than Khalkas and Tsakhars. It's a sad story, mostly fights between Mongols vs. Mongols, beautifully played by Manchus and Tibetians. And still now,in Mongolia the Buddhism we practicing is complete mess.I believe original Buddhism is teaching, philosophy but in Mongolia it's just a another superstitious doing. So partly I agree with the statement we used in communist era "Religion is the opium for people!"

@vajraman108 However, only Tsogt Hong Taij from 3 khans of Khalka, accepted his matter and went to Amdo against Geluk sect favoring the Kagyu or Black/Red sect. But Gush khan and other 3 oirads, were in Tibetian side would crush Tsogt in Amdo.Ligdan, khan of Tsahar(Last Khan of Mongols) would die before Tsogt in Amdo, after a heavy loss fighting against Nurhachi, who had support from other Inner Mongolian confederations like Khorchin,Yenshoobu etc.

@vajraman108 can't really agree with that.Initially Khalkas practiced their own style of Buddhism Geluk sect or Kagyu sect whatever, they did in their own way.The constant translation and mongolization of the original buddhist writings in the early stage can prove this. However, when pressure from both Tibetian and Manchu side increased forcing Mongols to practice Tibetian buddhism to tangle things up,Ligden Khan forseek its danger warned Khalkha princes to unite against foreign invaders

At 6:38, did he say "monsters of Tibet?" I want to make sure I haven't misunderstood, and if I haven't, then I would like to know why he said that.

The manchu used buddism as a tool 2 control over Mgls and they did make Mgls as sheep.
but Mgls accepted it,same as they accepted the russian cyrllic scripts as well.
when right or wrong is not so important,pp will never find out the way 2 the future

@Tsus2007 Soviets distorted history. Khalkas, Dzungars, and Manchus: All are Mongol, and also all liked to fight with one another. After the Manchu Mongols conquered China in 1644, the balance of power changed, with the Khalka and Dzungar Mongols falling behind a bit. All 3 Mongol nations were Yellow Buddhist, and all three achieved greatness both culturally and spiritually. But the Soviets tried to convince Khalkas that Manchus are Chinese.
