I just want to hug him & squeeze him. Thanks to all of you people for posting these videos and helping to dispel the "rodents are ugly, dirty, gross, etc." stereotypes that many people still have

@lucassrocks1 They are the world's largest rodents, fairly closely related to guinea pigs.

How clever are they? Is it like keeping a dog?

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. In some ways he is like a dog: he learns tricks, walks on a leash, loves to be around people. In other ways he is like a cat: stubborn, independent and won't come when he's called. I'd say he is at least as smart as your average dog but his motivations are somewhat different.

I'm scared of a dwarf hampster...I don't think I'll be rushing off to find one of these...but he's facinating all the same. Is he agressive, dangerous? I know what rodents can do to a block of wood...what do you have for him to gnaw on?

He is not a chewer. I think eating grass, as they do in the wild, is enough to wear his teeth down. If you'd like to learn more about him, please visit his blog. The url is in the video and in the video description.
