The New and Old Covenants cannot mix - we learn from the old, but live by the new

According to the words of Jesus seen in Luke 5:36-39, we are not to mix the Old Covenant together with the New Covenant.

This will explain why so many prayers seem to go unanswered, but in reality, it is simply a matter of learning the difference between what God was going to do under the Old Covenant and what He has already done today under the New Covenant.
