Wireless internet connection problem

Problem: In my HP Pavilion is a switch. With that switch I can put my wireless connection on and off. When it's on, it's blue. When it's off, it's red. Now when I put the switch on it's still red and my wireless connection doesn't work... View the video for more information!!! Please comment!!!!!

i jus bought a new motherboard instead and put it in and everything works

Haha! Well i know how to take off viruses i took mines off and it messed up my wifi switch and i solved the problem. You can try this also. Click on menu or the start button. Type in device manager. Click on network adapters. Right click your wireless network adapter in my case it says, "atheros ar9285 wireless network adapter". After you right click it, click disable. Once you disable it, restart your pc. When it comes back on it will uninstall it, and it should be working. Let me know!

My sister has been having this problem I worked on it all yesterday I finally was able to get it working after erasing some files. Well when I was updating microsoft recommendation, after the restart it ended up losing the signal. So I decided to erase those updates and rebooted the computer and the signal was back still don't know which file it is still in the proceess of adding them one by one to find the culprit. Hope this helps.

HP is a fucking piece of crap, coming from a HP DV5 user for 3 years, having to deal with my wireless disconnecting every 5 minutes for 2 years :)

i went to a dixons store.... they repaired it, and its was a problem with the motherboard..... it was solved... but now i've a new problem... both shift keys doesnt work..............................
