Nutrition and Digestion Problems, Acid Reflux, Austin Chiropractic Care

Dr. Echols is a Chiropractor in Austin, Texas. In this video Dr. Echols discuses the importance of digestion in nutrition, some common digestion problems including acid reflux or GERD, heart burn, etc. Believe it not, if you have stomach acid problems the solution is probably not to use an antacid or proton pump inhibitor to neutralize or stop stomach acid production. The problem is that you stomach isn't acidic enough or you are missing the needed enzymes to correctly break down your food. Undigested food can rot go putrid in the intestines. This can cause a number of health problems including excessive gas. Find out what to do in this free video.

  • ok a quick tip, exercise!!!!!!!!!!!!! Calories in, calories out. Trust me. If you don't have to work hard don't eat high calorie foods. If your body dosn't require allot of calories it will not digest your food. But if you work hard after a meal your body will burn the food easily.

  • Hi, I wonder about milk, juice, beer, wine(red and white), or other sweet or sour liquids..are they good/better or bad to drink with food? Or is it just water? And how long before or after, water should be drank? Any suggestion on that? With reference please, if possible. Thank you..

  • Great info thanks. I was able to get off Prilosec and Tums by saturating the food in my mouth with saliva, breaking it down before swallowing, and by eating oatmeal in the morning which seems to either coat my stomach or absorb acids or something, but it works. I never have heartburn anymore.

  • thanks

  • let only gluten, additive, wheat and processed free food, well chewd pass into stomach.

if unwell I add fresh green veg juice[home made] 2 - 3 glasses daily, L glutamine, vegan digestive ensymes and a quality probiotic.- and raw fesh garlic[ 3 cloves]
