Fall (Original song)

A year can be over so very soon. You look up and you ask yourselfe: Where is is gone to? And if you had luck you can say: It was a good year. And you can be looking forward to another good year. I am thankful when I look back. And hopeful when I look forward.

I had a bad cold last week and that´s why my voice is still not so good. I hope you like it nevertheless.

Fall, I watch the falling leafs,
yellow, red and brown
they tumble down.
Fall, I wear my scarf again
on my way to school.
The wind blows cool.

This year is getting old,
turns dark and cold.

Herbst, ich schaue den fallenden Blättern zu, die gelb, rot und braun nach unten taumeln.
Herbst, ich trage wieder meinen Schal auf dem Weg zur Schule, der Wind bläst kühl.

Herbst, wieder ist ein Herbst, das Jahr altert, wird dunkel und kalt.
Herbst, feuchter Nebel und Regen, ich vermisse die Abendsonne, wenn der Tag getan ist.

Und ich weiß nun, dass ein Herbst ein neuer Frühling sein kann.
Lächelnd lehne ich mich zurück,
