  • @kslrn1663 Oh so true....loved your comment. I'm sure if Neil would read this he would too.

  • @zorgen123 whoa man....what has ''hair'' have to do with his great talent?

  • Oh yes Neil....I left my Brooklyn Roads in the early 60's for the Army, but I did the same as you, everything is a carbon copy except the father part. You were lucky you ran up two flights of staircase for supper and I walked very slow, because my dad was not as warm as yours. Now in my late 60's I think back is there a window in my old apartment to look out of {{grin}}. If there is,I think someone is looking out on my Brooklyn Roads.

  • Great song. So glad to see he got hair again.

  • Wonderful can relate to this song . Love it !

  • It is impossible to pick a favorite Neil Diamond song, but this is way up the list. I didn't grow up in Brooklyn, but I swear he wrote this song with me in mind.

  • How wonderful that Neil has such loving memories of growing up in Brooklyn. This song has always tugged at my heartstrings! He can deliver a song with such emotion!...love that about him!

  • @azera6878 I couldn't agree more. I grew up in Ireland in the 80's/90's but this song reminds me of my own childhood. Listening to this for the first time in ages and I could cry. Love him!

  • amen brother, neil your the best.

  • Brings back memories of my childhood. I'm sure others as well. Listen to the words, maybe not New York, but your town, your home.
