"A sad soul can kill you quicker, far quicker, than a germ."
~ John Steinbeck

Today we go through Cerulean Cave, where all sorts of danger await us.

First up is a trainer named Andrew aka Drayano60. Yup, he put himself in the game and he got his very own battle theme since I spent the first 35 minutes of this recording trying to beat him (catching you-know-who took less time). His Porygon2 uses a very cheap yet awesome strategy: it has a Starf Berry, which sharply raises a random stat when its HP gets low. Then it uses Recover and Recycel, so it has that berry again. When its HP gets low again it re-uses that Berry, which will then raise another stat. I really wanted that Berry, so that's why I didn't just use Hertz to kill it.

And then there's the rest of this Cave. It has lots of high leveled pokemon (up to 82), so I suggest you take a Smoke Ball with you (you can get those at the Celadon Game Corner). To get to you-know-who you don't need Rock Smash btw, but to explore the cave you do need it. And at the end, the big boss awaits:

Mewtwo: My favorite legendary, it has an awesome design and is still one of the most powerful pokemon around. It's been upgraded to level 90 in this hack, and his catch rate has been dropped dramatically. It took me 14 minutes and 50 Ultra Balls, so I just edited the beginning and the end together to give you an idea of what the battle was like. Note that once it was at 1 HP, Indrid took it on all by himself.

If you're having problems with catching Mewtwo, or any other postgame legendary for that matter, you should get a Scizor. You can just catch one here in Cerulean Cave, and use a the move tutor in Celadon Mansion to teach it False Swipe. Scizor's typing makes it perfect for resisting most legendary attacks. A fast (Crobat) or bulky (Gardevoir) sleeper is recommended too.

Music used:
Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII - Howl of the Gathered
Final Fantasy XII - Victory Fanfare
Final Fantasy XII - Sochen Cave Palace
Final Fantasy XII - Clash of Swords
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep - Enter the Darkness

This is a 100% Pokedex walkthrough and a Bug Flying Type Only No Scyther run. I don't own any of the music I use nor do I own this game. Credit for the romhack goes to Drayano60.

  • how to get in the cave??

  • @xxclubexx I suggest you surf to it.

  • U Should Train Mewtwo At The Elite Four With an Exp.Share . Then when u got loads of cash, let him learn this set of moves: Thunderbolt,Ice Beam, Flamethrower and Shadow Ball . They are effective against all the E4 Ppl. Gurenteed! 100%!

  • @clementeng123 That kinda defeats the purpose of going through the game with only Flying/Bug types doesn't it? I'm not taking the easy way out, Mewtwo's staying in my PC.

  • Are the rest of the episodes gonna be you catching Pokémon? Or is there a second round with the Elite Four + Champion?

  • @Chevitile I will be doing everything possible in this game, so of course that'll include the E4 rematches. Those will be saved for last though.
