@senafan Not always, this piece can be scored for a piano solo for skilled pianists. This version is a piano solo. As a pianist myself I can hear that there are only two hand parts, just cleverly written to sounds like there are more instruments playing than there are. Just goes to show you that he was a great pianist to make you think there is more than one person playing.

Did anyone else hear the bass clarinet? Yes i am aware there was not one...but I heard it come out of his piano playing...so pure. It was almost as if the clarinetist or basoonist was there...listen at 0:17 on the run down to the A# (i think it is).
