A source for life sustaining water in the Trans-Pecos region of Texas, these cisterns have been carved from the surrounding rock over the millenia. Today they provide water for desert wildlife, in the past tinajas also provided water and shelter for the people of the Lower Pecos whose rock paintings can be seen on the walls. Great music from Boris & the Saltlicks (www.borismccutceon.com) that feels like it belongs there.
