This video is from my Interpreting 4 class at CUNY/LaGuardia-I am consecutively interpreting a mock parent-teacher conference between a Deaf teacher and a hearing mother who has a Deaf daughter (Sarah). The teacher suspects that Sarah might have a some difficulty staying focused and is addressing the situation with her mother.

  • My dad's ex wife was deaf and her ASL was different than the class I took 2 years and the dialogue is NOT part of ASL... when I signed with my dad's ex I made noises and pops and gestures like she did... it isn't English at all...

  • This is billateral not consecutive.

  • So... cool...
