In this video series I will modify a fixed, polymer Bulgarian AK-47 stock and a laminated wood Romanian AK-47 stock to become two side-folding stocks! Based on an exciting discussion on the Saiga-12.com fora, this project features wood, plastic, metal, and two different kinds of epoxy.
In the fourth video I hack further into the Romanian laminate stock and unvarnish the varnish.

@btmatto The fellow who started the thread on the S-12 forum, AZG, used a solid Bulgarian, wood stock. He managed to use two wood screws to secure his stock to the hinge. I can't put the link in the comments, but if you search for "ACE folder/WOODSTOCK INSTALL", you should be able to see his procedure. He says his is holding up fine, so the bearing plate might only be needed on laminate stocks

do you have to do all this on normal wood? is this just limited to laminated stocks?
