In this highly informal video Magus Thothmoses makes offerings of music and incense to the Goddess Bastet, or Bast. He shows how a simple ceremony can provide a connection to the mystical realm. The Magus also introduces some of the deities Bast is associated with. The video finishes with a series of pictures meant to conjure up some of the associations of Bast with water, weather, and light. Watching this very video is itself an offering to the Goddess Bast.

  • Bast be praised, but how do we know Bast likes Bach

  • She loves all kinds of music. She is especially fond of soothing gentle music and enjoys it best when you have a glass of wine with your friends and burn some incense to her in a discrete manner. Experiment and you will discover. This goddess does not like constant attention. Another thing she loves is a sunflower, but only infrequently, maybe once a year when they are in season. There are other Egyptian gods like Horus, Isis, that enjoy more frequent attention.

  • i dont have any incense but i can just bow down to my cats

  • Bast in reality is not a cat, but choses the form of a cat to represent herself to humans. She is extremely fond of cats, and cats acknowledge her as a godly entity ; when you are a friend of Bast, cats automatically like you. By respecting cats you are showing respect to her. In reality, Bast is an entity associated with light and luminescence in worlds where such phenomena as light and darkness exists.

  • lol how can you tell if she likes Bach or not?

  • She lets you know once you connect with her. Bast likes most music as long as it does not involve loud drumming.

  • @TheWitchWay Um Im not alone, why make that assumption? Yes I do like cartoons, and a large majority of people do who arent 90 (mentally<-YOU or physically<-probably still YOU), and anime, and videogames. Your a girl and youve never watched cartoons, your seriously deprived. I guess when all the other girls were pretending to be disney princesses you were too busy not having friends. Enjoy listening to this old guy talk like a child molester. Im sure you get off on it.

  • @TheWitchWay Thats not what the INTERNET all about its about viewing and commenting and insulting, go watch your *holding back laugh* youtube instructional how to be a witch and teenage girls complaining about stuff videos.

  • May I ask where you found such a beautiful statue of Bast? :) I have been searching for the perfect one, but no luck...I REALLY like the one you have.

  • i found that maybe i might have a friendship with the egyptian god anubis.

  • @ThothmoseVONbubastis Then I chose the wrong instrument to play in band....I plat snare drum, does a piano count as loud?

  • super creepy

  • As I was told by an old Teacher of mine. Never mix religious instruments when worshiping. Especially when one of them is not a traditional item. A Tibetan Prayer wheel should be swung so that the wheel goes clockwise during meditation.

I am not being critical, just offering a bit of caution and advice.

  • 1test test tes test test

  • Greetings, friend.

As much as I feel drawn to Bast, mostly from my love of cats, I am disconcerted in that I do not feel a personal relationship with her - or any God/Goddess for that matter.

    It's not Bast's fault. I don't know that it's anyone's fault.

Can anyone give me guidance on how to personally have that deep connection with Deity? I remember when I was a Christian, I felt that as a young child, but somewhere along the way I lost it.
