@paupur he ALWAYS paid me, usually more than he told me i would get. i also heard the last band he called the BME talk about getting paid well for a tour that Buddy made nothing on. he paid them out of his own pocket. he was (at least in his last years) the most giving , sweetest, most generous person ive ever met.
This simply can't compare to the version on "Buddy Miles Live" album. The groove that Buddy lays down is so smooth and solid. This guy is way too busy and doesn't hit the snare nearly as hard. Buddy had the NASTIEST 2&4 in the business. No tips on his stcks. Just butt ends. I saw his band so many times it's ridiculous. However, sometimes Buddy didn't pay the guys. I'd run into them at a jam in Culver City after a show at the Whiskey, and they were bitchin' and moanin'. But what a band.
Wow...It is great to get to see this after so many years! I have always loved this cut! What a great band! David Hull, you rocked it ( as a bass player I do appreciate that)!
Buddy represented for every singing drummer on the planet. Theres nothing better than seeing him play and sing this at the same time. He showed us all how to do it...
I absolutely love this song! Thanks for uploading this 'Sirri3' also does anyone know if this song is on MP3 anywhere I can't find it! I have the album 'We Got to Live Together' and the original version smokes as well Charlie's solo is ridiculous...

@lowend100 You're a bad man. The Buddy Miles Live Album should be course material for bass curriculums at every music school.
