  • thanks for the info on the vid and i understand the importance of radio comms as i work at dbs tanami granites gold mine no room for error cause someone will get killed

  • Nice, but completely fake. The allegedly pick up wasn´t so. It was just it´s body and tires. The engine and transmission have been removed previously. Nevertheless it´s an idiot idea to jerk with a piece of equipment that costs million of dollars.

  • might be just a chasis and wheels but it designed to teach newcomers to the mine the dangers of what is around you and how dangerous mines are if your not completely switched on.And as if the mines could'nt afford it, they buy new dump trucks every year or two anyway

  • now i drive a hj 75 ute fuck havn that sqash mine id b devastated.keep the comment and ratings rollin in thanks youtubers!

  • damn my truck!

  • Kalgoorlie consolidated gold mines

the land cruiser was still at the front gate as a reminder to keep safe at the pit

  • guess he picked a shitty place to park

  • the ute is on a big stand just after you drive past the boom gates.. i think its the same one?

  • It was the newest truck on site at the time, truck 231, and there was a little damage to the step ladder, Pos 2,3 & 4 tires and that was about it.

And Stymye - this was a once off to show the importance of radio communication between utes and trucks. The average citizen can be thankful for the shock it gave everyone - it's easy to get complacent when you've been driving trucks for a few years and this demo reminded us how careful we have to be to ensure nobody is killed on site.

  • I was there for this demonstration at KCGM. It was just the chassis. A few of us got to have an up close look afterwards and it was just insane how flat it was. The truck was only going about 20km/h and had nothing in the tray. Can't imagine what would happen if it had a full 250T load on.

    Good job Morgsy!

  • is that at kcgm?

  • No, he's completely right...
