Are clay heavy weights, vases tall heights and wide diameters a trouble and a limit?

The clay I used is pretty soft ... If you use a lot of water and your piece sit on the wheel for long time, will absorb the water and turn out to be weak and unstable. Better train yourself to use less water and reach your defined size in just 2 or 3 pulling ...

either way this guy knows his way around the potters wheel. the clay looks like it could be porclin which i find to be more difficult to throw with than a clay body with higher grog, but i guess its all personal preference.
