I also have a Kindle Fire. I can't watch Youtube videos. I thought I would be able to, it was one of the reason I got it. It is my first Kindle so I'm not sure if I have to find a app to be able to.

Have you tried it and or know of a app that will let me sign into my Youtube and let me watch my subscriptions? Would love your feedback. Thanks :)

@MrsSoulSeeker no need to find an app - click the web button at the top and then type youtube - I have watched plenty of videos on it because it's just like watching from any other web browser. If you go to the app store, there are a few YouTube apps you can download as well.

Can you make it so that the kindle fire would read like paper and ink like the other kindles? I really like that the kindle fire has color but I prefer to read in ink and paper.

@nayomi17 No, it can't change the background like that to my knowledge. It's more like a tablet computer

Ah man you're slowly convincing me to look into the kindle fire even though I already have a kindle LOL. I like that the original kindle isn't backlit because it's easier on my eyes, but the kindle fire is such a good price for everything it does. LOVE that case too. Etsy <3 and your hair is so long, dang!

@iluvjesse444 yea I'm happy my hair is growing so quickly :) We have 5 kindles here and they all serve a purpose, but when you can essentially buy a tablet for $200 that does just about everything the iPad does, you gotta jump on it :)

The bf has bought me a kobo e-reader for xmas, we considered the kindle as well, but in my area we were able to get the kobo touch for a better price. I just wanted something basic to start with since we're on a SUPER tight budget right now. I'm definitely looking forward to using it on xmas day! I'll have to get you to send me some books sometime. ^_^

She is absolutely right. I owned the Kindle Fire for a week and it was the perfect media consumption device (books, music, apps etc). I took it back for an iPad mainly because I already have so much Apple purchased content I would have to re-buy most in order to get it on my Kindle Fire. Also, since it's a re-vamped version of Android one has to purchase context via Amazon and their app store "not" the Android Marketplace, meaning if you own something on your Android phone it will not necessari

I'm with you I would buy books for my kindle even if I all ready owned them in book form. Because yes I am a book geek. But I don't own a kindle, yet. It's on my Christmas list.
