  • i am a somali and i think that this movie sums up the utter depravity of mogadishu. i can verify this for i was born there and lived there for 16 years of my life. America and the U.N. should have stood their ground to finish the job, if they had, my parents might still be alive

  • A true Oscar worthy movie

  • @ridder6689 fair enough

  • @Somaliman1993 You need to understand, Nations like the U.S don't really like to get involved in countries that don't have anything in value for them hence why the U.S is hardly in Africa...Look at Iraq..They got the resources that U.S wants and now all the sudden we are there trying to premote a "democracy"...They go where the interest is...It's wrong but thats how they are...I'm sorry for your loss.

  • @sniper275 Simple, once your dead you don't have to deal with war or anything else for that matter anymore.

  • @Somaliman1993 We tried to finnish under the 1st Bush but he lost his election and couldn't see it through fully, but our asshole president "Clinton" steped in and screwed up then left, clinton and his staff did not know the first thing about peacekeeping. On top of that there was that dick aidid who wouldn't do what the UN and US told him. p.s. sorry for the loss of your parents dude

  • @doombringer1432 how could they see the end if some died at the begining :D

  • 5 people didnt knew where the "Like" button was.

  • @RADIOACTIVEBUNY My father is good friends with SSG Jeff Streucker and originally was going to go with the 75th Ranger Regiment to Mogo in 93'. He was transfered to 7th Special Forces though, and therefore didnt go. The Operation was pretty much useless anyway. but you cannot blame it on the United States or even the United Nations. There were also the Paks and the Malays there. They refused to help.

  • @Somaliman1993 Dont blame this one the UN. There was nothing they could do didnt you see the movie? They where fighting the entire city. As mutch as i regret your loss you have to blame it on that crazy warlord Farrah Adid. Take care and may your parents always guide you through your soul:)

  • Sorry, but I think that that whole operation was an absolute waste of time, lives, and resources. Africa has been like that since the beginning time, still is, and probably always will be. The best course of action is to wait for order to naturally restore itself.
