Instead an harp is a piano playing the intro? This was the repertory for this tenor, not the heavier roles he use to sing nowdays. Great voice here

You can hear Alvarez beautiful voice here - even though he needs more training.
Remember that Nicolai Gedda almost got rejected when he applied to the Royal Opera House in Sweden. Everybody said his voice was beautiful but too weak.
But one person said:
His voice will get stronger with study and practise - This made them accept him as a student. The one person in favour of Nicolai Gedda was Jussi Bjorling!
