Here is a completely improvised piece he played on his Roland TD6 with a tabla setting.

ALL the sounds you hear on this video he played by himself. There is NO OVERDUB.

Notice the sense of musical phrases (question and answer) and use of silence. This was the very FIRST time he played with this sound setting (tabla) and improvised like this.

Its a long piece, but the first and middle parts are really worth listening. After a while, sounds at home knocked him out of his concentration.

I just tunned to the Tabla preset, showed him the sounds and he just started playing. I was very lucky to capture it on video.

He was almost 8 years-old, and 1 year and a half on drum learning.
