@JamalSlomack i really agree with your comment by the late 70's James Brown should have realized that he was bested by the new funk acts coming out everyday. He should have consented to outside producers before the original disco man album in '79 and just maybe that would have given him a few more years on the chart. I presume it was an ego thing with James Brown and he just couldn't gave up the production. I have found with artist over the years just b/c you're a great artist doesn't make u a

Mate, I want to thank you sincerely for this. I thought I had a good knowledge of JB's discography, but this one track had escaped me since I had never listened to the whole "double bump" LP. Tonight is high and I'm listening to this precious funky gem full blast on my headphones. Life is good.

Personally I hated when James did this kind if shit because it showed he had run out of Ideas. The time and energy he put into this he could have some up with something else or written an entirely new set of lyrics to it. The arrangement is inspired....not the funkiest thing in the world but they're cooking...JB should have come up with brand new lyrics.
This is one of my all time favorite James Brown joints!! Believe it or not I like this even better than the 1965 original. It's really an almost wholly different song. Excellent! The 1975 - 1978 era was some of his most creative even though Black radio stopped palying his songs and his sales went down.
