This is a "Learn As I Go" Tutorial. I've done this project before with some of Daisy's pants - just not with denim.

  • Would it be possible if for skinny jeans that are too small for me to cut the seam to repurpose them as shorts, like all the way down the seam not just at the top, I don't mind sacrificing a bit of the skinny tightness as they are 1-2 sizes too small and used to flood anyway(go up above the ankles), but I thought it might look cute for some short-shorts using some fabric (I was thinking blue, and possibly heavy lace over for some decoration at the sides). I was wondering if it would work. :)

  • @WolfRising25 Yes. I've done that with shorts for Daisy before, too. I just opened up the whole outside of the leg and put a fabric strip in there. She loved the pair I did with girlie skull fabric. No one even knew that we didn't buy them like that.

  • i would just like to thank you i tred your method and it worked very well.if it wasnt for you i would have wasted alot of money by throwing out my old jeans.

  • @takasha26 Awwww...I'm so glad it helped you, hun. :-)

  • What a wonderful idea. I have some old jeans that are a little too tight in the tummy area, gonna try ur idea! Let ya know how it goes!

  • @asjewbali Can't wait to hear how it turns out for you. Thank you for your kind comments.

  • OH MY GOD!! I have been looking on how to do my jeans bigger because i just love them and i dont to give them away! I have no idea an how to do it!. LOVE your video. Thank you so much! :)

  • Thank U so much for sharing I know the feeling, I will be trying this, :)

  • Thank you for posting this I really like the idea. I am going to try this but instead of cutting out the seam I am going to open it up and save that much I won't have to add of fabric. Thanks agai for the video, Thanks!!

  • Fantastic job doin those! I shall have a try myself now and rescue some old beloved trousers! Thanks very much :)

  • Good job!!!

  • I have the same problem with my skinny jeans XP I have skinny legs and a bigger waist and my jeans either make it look like I have a muffin top or the legs are too big

  • I know it's been a year since you posted this, but it has given me the information I've been looking for. I seem to be built like a barrel, making it very difficult to find pants that fit right. If they fit in the butt, they will be too tight in the waist and if they fit the waist then they bag off my butt. This is the case no matter if I'm at my ideal weight or over. I don't seem to have hips. I'm going to try this, but I plan to use like colored fabric and not come down as far. Thanks!
