great amv i just have a few questions. at the beginning how do you have the characters without backgrounds while other things happen in the background, and how did you do the effect at 1:21?

@bobmuffin6 For the beginning I used a layer with a picture, where I've cut everything around the area I wanted (search for Masking tutorials). For each of the stripes in the background I used a layer with cookie cutter. Afterwards i laid the stripes over the picture and it's done.

The second effect is made by having a scene with an overlay of the same scene with about 60% opacity on the upper one. The upper one gets a glow and is zoomed in at the same time.

GREAT VID!!!!!!!! but a little slow at the begining though... but still awsome... anyway I'm trying to make my own amv right now... first time doing so and i want to do it right! although dont know much about this sort of thing ..... got any pointers for making one?

I would at first look at the song I want. Chose one that's not too slow/fast and try to imagine how you would cut the scenes. If you can imagine some parts, it's probably a good song. Start from the beginning and go as far as you can manage. You can try to leave hard parts for later on. Also take your time, when making an AMV I usually take a few days to weeks until I'm satisfied. Wow, this AMV is amazingly dinamic! I really loved the work you did, I couldn't take my eyes of it, every clip matched perfectly with the music and I personally love that ^^
