The minor three of All Saints church , Misterton.

1. Richard Mellours unknown date, pre reformation circa 1500.
2. George Oldfield I 1623
3 George Oldfield I 1653

The tenor weighs 11-3-17 and is in G. The treble weighs 10-0-2 !!

These are a fine ring of ancient bells.

  • now add a tenor....about 14cwt in F.....and 2 trebles...would make a cracking 6

  • @pretorium My thoughts entirely! The tower is big enough for one either side of these, at least

  • one way to do three bell ringing might be something quite out of the box I suppose. RING MUCH MUCH FASTER, and I do mean as fast as you comfortably can and do changes ...Try this and video it when you do. I bet it would sound great.

  • It would sound pretty awful. A large heavy, difficult ring of three such as these need to be rung slowly because unless you have a band that are willing to kill themselves hauling them around, ringing these fast would be dire.
