It's pretty amazing that almost everything from #15 down to #1 is pure timeless gold. And this was the crap music program -- RWP was far better.
-
90% percent of this music still gets regular airplay - can the same be said for today's computer generated 'hits'? New stuff is mostly a bunch of arse, over produced and no soul or warmth. Oh sure musicians start off with passion but now its about screwing every last dollar out of a catchy riff.

Does anyone now all the names to the Opening Theme music they used for RTR ?

Those were the days when you could listen to a song on the radio and easilypick the singer. Nowadays it's all the same crap.

Could Someone Upload The Full RTR from 1983?

Boy do I feel old right now!

Plus I gather that the countdown from the Tall Dwarfs vid was from about August 1981.

I think the Tall Dwarfs was definately filmed 1981, "Fantastic voyage" and "Springboks tour" news story in there, probably what they were actually recording.

Oh, and here's a funny thing - there's also another RTR countdown that lives here on Youtube, in the video clip for 'Nothing's Going To Happen' by Tall Dwarfs. It's a bit of a fast run-through it, but if you have the video tools to slow it down it would probably be worth looking at, despite the poor picture quality filmed from the TV, lol.
