Please note that I realise that I called out an incorrect number plate on the video. It was only after viewing the footage that I discovered the mistake. The correct number plate has been posted in the title and tags.

The dustmen were out this morning, so there was a bit of a queue on a usually pretty empty road. This young driver got caught napping it seems when I overtook him and then went on to pass the dustcart. He immediately showed his displeasure by revving up and driving close to my back wheel, even though I was keeping pace with traffic ahead and there was no room for him to pass anyway. As I moved back into the left lane after the dustcart, he made an aggressive move left, despite the brake lights clearly showing on the car ahead of me. I gave an open-handed slap on the back of his car to remind him that I was there and this seemed to infuriate him. Horn blasting he undertakes me, I'm going straight at the mini roundabout, so was riding in the right-hand approach lane as the left-hand lane is left turn only. We debate the matter and when it finally dawns on him that I'm filming him he drives off.

  • THE RISKS OF FILTERING. As a cyclist i found filtering through traffic more hassle than it's worth and i feel safer not doing it ! I THINK YOU BOTH WERE AT FAULT ! When you filtered back in the traffic, you would of cut him up. He wouldn't of known you were there, though his reaction was quite appalling. NO ONE PERFECT, LEAVE THE AGGRESSION AT HOME !

  • @Wabbit0789

We all ride in a manner that we are comfortable with. Can't quite see how I cut up a stationary vehicle though. It was more a case that he accelerated hard to catch up with me after I passed him and then tried to overtake when the road wasn't wide enough and carried on trying to overtake as we approached the next traffic queue. Being fully in front of him when he set off originally he knew I was there alright, he just didn't care for the idea. It happens with some drivers, sadly...

  • @kmcyc 0:06 the traffic started to move off , the golf had no where to go and you moved back into traffic after filtering, hence the cut up. As i said before, i don't condone his aggression but us fellow cyclist have to be just a curteous to traffic as you expect other motorist to be, it can't be one way. TRYING TO BRING A BALANCED VIEW ! what opinion would a police officer have ? that would be intresting ! yes i am a cyclist & i see minority of cyclist and motorist do stupid things at times :o

  • @stupot123

If you are referring to my taking the primary position to ward off the dangerous overtake attempted by the driver featured in this video, I don't really see how that's cutting anyone up. I was keeping pace with the traffic so it's not as if the clio driver could have gone any faster. As for the police, well they gave the driver a warning for his dangerous driving based on this video. When I'm on the road, cycling or driving I always try to avoid holding others up.

  • Great vid! Got porky bang to rights!

  • @Katrini89

Thanks. The police thought so too. He was given a warning about his driving from them based on this video.

What test would you like me to pass? I've held a car licence for 23 years and a motorbike licence for 8. Road Tax doesn't exist but I own a Band K car so pay more VED than most car owners. I have insurance cover for my bike too, as a regular cycle commuter for 15 years that only makes sense. Now, if only you can explain to me how a cyclist is a hazard to drivers, I'll see what I can do. Until then, I will carry on getting to work faster than if I were driving. Thanks.

  • @gezza403

Let him through where exactly? He attempted to run me off the road, using his car to barge me out of his way, when in fact he could not have gone any faster or gotten anywhere any quicker than I or the car in front of me. What possible justification could he have had for his dangerous behaviour? Any other driver would have simply followed without all the aggression displayed by this motorist. "Brought this on yourself" what nonsense.

  • @kmcyc doesn't matter what i put here, even when the highway code backs up what i say, your still going to think your right. your abit delusional, you can only see what the motorist did wrong but you wont except you shouldn't of been where you positioned your self on the road in the first place. Cyclist have to abide by the same rules as the car , eg road marking, give way signs and lights, look it up in the highway code. sure the police said this to you already but you wont say that on here !

  • fat red face and little arms , and cant drive a car, man hes doomed

  • @KafesEntertainment

No, not really. I passed lots of stopped traffic and then one driver tried to knock me off my bike in a pointless attempt to get back in front and the police issued him with a warning about his driving based on this video.

  • you overtook everyone then got pissed when he got pissed off with you, does the other cars overtake when the traffic comes to a stand still.. if your going to use the road use it like everyone else has to, fucking retard.
