There are still Christians living in the Bethlehem area but many Muslim refugees that were ethnically cleansed from Israel now make their home there- a majority of residents are Muslim. Apartheid Wall surrounds Bethlehem and destroyed livelihood of Palestinian farmers who are cut off from their land. Only 1 farmer left: Daoud Nasser whose land has been attacked by violent Israeli settlers. Israel cut off electricity and water despite documents showing he owns the land & paid his taxes.

I have been there too, and while I think the Palestinians are putting their future in the hands of incompetent leaders and have been religiously tolerant of Israel, the response from Israel is to create apartheid. The continued development of settlements and taking of land with little or no compensation is tantamount to racial, religious and class warfare. We are looking at a country that is excusing segregation policies on stereotyping violent behavior. There are two sides to this abomination.
