(Rough Edit)Heaven Come Down: Stories of the Lower Ninth Ward is a close look at a reunion in the opening days of a historic neighborhood in New Orleans. Three months after Hurricane Katrina, the city arranged a "Look and Leave" for residents to view the remains of their homes. The re-gathering of people ignites anger, sadness, hope and most importantly faith when confronted with the reality of what is left of their community.

  • RIP 2 those lost. i was there in new orleans the day after the anniversary last yr but the french quarter was were we saw plus a bit of 9th ward. sad

  • I love how she talks

  • This was my hood where i grew up. I lived across the canal right by the levi. I went around there and couldn't even see the land where our house used to be. Alot of people died over there.

  • i went to school with david ellis

  • This is sad to see, I'm from Mississippi, in a town that is about 3hrs from New orleans and 3hrs from the Ms Gulf coast, this could have easily been me, I feel so sorry for the victims, and the government has seemed to forgot, just like saying its over and done with lets move on, this is not what America is about.

  • I drove thru the 9th ward earlier this week. Its one thing to see this on TV but seeing it in real life is surreal. It was so emotional..I felt sick, sad, and guilty. I want to help :(

  • Complete destruction.

  • excellent work on this doc. i was just in the lower 9th ward and new orleans last weekend for the first time. your film really puts what i saw into perspective. thank you.

  • You know what is sad is we , the US spends more money on other countries with cute brown kiddies with mud on their faces than our own American brothers and sisters. Shocking. I feel so bad for those Katrina victims.
