@SilverNirvash read grace's book, I think it's called Somebody to Love, oh duh, and I'm completely innocent!

@oldiesbutgoodies67 "Weren't allowed?" And what authority, are you saying, did not "allow" the Doors anywhere at all? and FYI, I'm still playing, not washed up yet!

@bones411gmail so where's the photo? Teasing us all? And you must mean "under" the stage at Woodstock...don't ask me, but if half a million hippies had said, "skies clear" instead of "no rain"....see? The universe does what we say...

This is for my cat Grace, named for Grace Slick, and she loves this song...I'm only now getting it online for her--Gracie will meow in tune and on key "love"...Janis, her sister...oh never mind....

@oldiesbutgoodies67 Monterey was in 1967, The Doors were not so popular then. And they didn't attend Woodstock because they thought that it would be just like the second Monterey, but not WOODSTOCK )) But John Densmore was there... I have one photo - John standing somewhere at the backstage at Woodstock...

The movie "Monterey Pop" should have had the Airplane doin this kick-ass version of "Somebody to Love" rather than "High Flying Bird" which I thought dragged a bit.

@oldiesbutgoodies67 The Doors were bigger than Monterey and Woodstock, but Hendrix played at both? How could anyone be "bigger than Woodstock"? There were half of a million people there!
